"God's purpose for the artist is to inspire, to give us visions of ourselves that we might not see, to make us better than we would have been. The world is better for the arts and righteous artists in it. In the quest to achieve greatness in artistic pursuits--whether in painting, music, dance, drama, film, sculpture, or the written word--we should always seek first to achieve God's purposes." -Elder M. Russell Ballard

Cars, Graysen, and A Birthday!

So our little man has turned 2! His birthday celebration was complete with grandparent's, aunts', uncles', sisters', cake, and c-a-r-s. This kid is obsessed with anything cars. While he opened his gifts, with a little help from Kirsten and Bethie, he was so interested in everything. His favorite gift that he recieved was a monster truck from Uncle Nate. Complete with lights and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of noise!! Someday Nathan, we will make sure to 'pay' you back for this most awesome of gifts! :) Graysen loved having everybody sing Happy Birthday to him! It was so cute! He even flashed us his crooked grin, that's when you know he's super happy. My attempt at an awesome race-track cake. It looked way cooler in my head. But now I know a few tips if I ever make a race-track cake again to try differently.
Happy Birthday Graysen! We love you!!

Happy birthday little guy! I think you did such a great job on the cake! Especially if you thought up the concept.
