"God's purpose for the artist is to inspire, to give us visions of ourselves that we might not see, to make us better than we would have been. The world is better for the arts and righteous artists in it. In the quest to achieve greatness in artistic pursuits--whether in painting, music, dance, drama, film, sculpture, or the written word--we should always seek first to achieve God's purposes." -Elder M. Russell Ballard

ABC! It's as easy as 123!

Today was the first day of school. First day of Kindergarten for Bethanie and 1st day of 2nd grade for Kirsten. Mom and Dad got up early to make the girls a special breakfast. :)

Fruit N' White Chocolate Chip French Toast Kabobs with Honey-Wheat Pretzels sprinkled with Sugar Powder and served with a side of Strawberry Fruit Dip.

This year my girls decided to go with the gangster pose.
Gotta love the sisterly hugs!

Seriously, could this girl be any cuter?

So very cool Miss Kirsten!
Graysen jumped in for a picture too!

Just cute!

In front of the school. I'm so glad we started a trend, it seemed that every parent snapped a picture here after us. Yes, we are cool like that. :)

Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Parents, it is our right to embarrass our children as we see fit. Well, I played the part of the obnoxious and embarrassing mom to Kirsten today, the look on her face says it all. Kirsten! Oh Kirsten! Smile pretty for mommy! ;)

Bethanie was scared so Mr. Graysen sat by her until more kids in her class arrived. What a classy guy!

Sad Sad Bethie. :(

We were in the car A LOT today. Poor Graysen fell asleep eating his jacket. But he still looks pretty happy, right?
