"God's purpose for the artist is to inspire, to give us visions of ourselves that we might not see, to make us better than we would have been. The world is better for the arts and righteous artists in it. In the quest to achieve greatness in artistic pursuits--whether in painting, music, dance, drama, film, sculpture, or the written word--we should always seek first to achieve God's purposes." -Elder M. Russell Ballard

Disneyland Day 2

Oops! These next 2 pictures are mixed up but I forgot to upload them sooner. The hotel gave us turn-down service each night, which included 3 Disney character chocolates on each bed. The kids were thrilled with them! And the the hotel had these adorable shampoo/conditioner/body wash/and lotion bottles. House-keeping gave us extra so the girls could each have their own set to take home. Loved it!

The second day of our trip we pretty much hung out in the pool and hot tub. We then went for a delicious dinner at Gary and Alice's house. Alice made a super yummy lasagana and garlic bread. Thanks guys for dinner, it was awesome!! And did I mention it was super delicious?? :)
Then we took the kids to watch the sunset at the beach. The water was freezing but the sand felt great to walk in with bare feet. I don't think the kids liked it so much because it was a bit chilly.

We got back to our hotel just in time to watch the Disneyland Fireworks. The kids thought it was great to bundle up in their blankets and lay on the bed to watch. Ok, so mom and dad thought it was pretty cool too!
